Official Rules & Regulations Contest opens May 1st 2008 (12:00:01 am ET) and runs until April 9, 2009 (16:00 pm ET). Contest open to Canadian residents only, except to those in Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province at time of entry. Contests not open to Quebec residents. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person per month. Additional entries will be excluded from the draws. Contest Rules 1. To enter, mail the completed contest entry ballot contained in Canadian Poultry Magazine issues starting with May 2008 and ending with February 2009 to the address below. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of these Official Rules shall be disqualified. To obtain an official entry ballot (while supplies last) without purchase, send a self-addressed postage paid envelope to: The Great Canadian "Fly the Coop" Get Away Contest, Ballot Request, Canadian Poultry Magazine, P.O. Box 530, 105 Donly Dr. S., Simcoe, ON, N3Y 4N5. Limit of one request per person per month and your self-addressed envelope must bear sufficient postage. Limit one entry per person per month. In the event it is discovered that you attempted to enter more than once, then all of your entries will be void. All entries for the monthly draws must be received by the Contest Closing Dates listed below to be eligible for the draw. May 2008 Magazine entries post-dated no later than June 12, 2008. All correct entries, including monthly winners, complying with rules and regulations will be entered into the GRAND Prize draw. Canadian Poultry Magazine and Intervet Canada (the "Contest Sponsors") will not be responsible for late, lost, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, damaged, altered or destroyed entries. 2. Prizes - There will be Ten (10) Monthly Prizes available to be won, each consisting of one Tom Tom GPS Unit with an approximate value of two hundred and thirty dollars ($230 CDN). Monthly prizes are neither non-transferable nor redeemable for cash. Winner need not be present to win. Prizes will be delivered to confirmed winners to the address on the entry ballot. There will be One (1) Grand Prize available to be won consisting of 2 round trip airline tickets to any scheduled major airline destination in Canada to a maximum value of two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500 CDN) or two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500 CDN) in cash. Tickets must be used prior to April 9, 2010. Grand Prize Winner will be drawn from all correct entry ballots submitted for monthly prizes. Entrants must comply with rules and regulations of the airlines for domestic flight within Canada. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date. One entry ballot is contained in each issue of Canadian Poultry Magazine (except those shipped to Quebec) from May 2008 to February 2009. Random Draw - A random draw for the Grand Prize will be held April 9, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Canadian Poultry Magazine Booth, Booth 348, London Poultry Show, Western Fair Grounds, London Ontario from all eligible entries received to award the prizes. Winner need not be present to win. In order to win the selected entrant will be contacted by mail, email, telephone and/or courier, must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without assistance of any kind whether mechanical or otherwise and must be eligible according to the Official Rules. In the event the selected entrant cannot be contacted within 21 days of the draw, another random draw will be conducted by Canadian Poultry Magazine. All winners, by entering the contest, agree to abide by the standard Declaration and Liability Release requirement listed below releasing the Contest Sponsors from all liability. 4. The contest is open to all legal residents of Canada, except for those in the province of Quebec, that have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. Employees and their family members of Canadian Poultry Magazine, Annex Publishing and Printing Inc. and Intervet Canada/Schering Plough are ineligible to enter. This contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations. All decisions of Contest Sponsors are final and binding in all matters relating to this promotion and the Contest Sponsors shall not be held responsible for any accident, negligence, printing, administrative or other errors that may arise or occur in connection with the contest. The Contest Sponsors reserves the right to modify, amend or terminate this contest in whole or in part at any time without notice and with no obligation or liability. 5. Monthly Prizes must be accepted as awarded, are non-refundable, non-transferable and are not convertible to cash. The Grand Prize may be converted to a cash prize. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants. By entering this contest, the entrants consent to the use of their name, city of residence, video image, and/or photograph in any publicity, advertising carried out in any medium by the Contest Sponsor and its agencies, advertising and promotional agencies or Internet posting without further notification or compensation. Personal information collected during the contest will be used solely for the purpose of administering the contest. 6. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsors upon receipt and will not be returned. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest should a virus, bug or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Contest Sponsors corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Contest Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law - including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. 7. If, as a result of an error relating to the entry process, drawing or any other aspect of the contest, there are more potential winners of prizes than contemplated in the Official Rules, there will be a random draw amongst all eligible prize claimants after the Contest Closing Date to award the correct number of prizes. 8.
