
Abbotsford poultry processing plant shut down after COVID-19 outbreak

A food processing plant in Abbotsford has been ordered to close by Fraser Health after an outbreak of COVID-19 among staff.
Twenty-two employees of Grand River Foods, a poultry processing facility on Wheel Avenue, have tested positive for the coronavirus, said Fraser Health in a statement on Sunday.
Health officials inspected the site Feb. 18 after a cluster was identified on Feb. 2. An outbreak was declared Feb. 19.
