Oct. 24, 2013, Dunboynr, Ireland – Alltech welcomes the best and brightest graduates from all over the world to apply for the second annual Alltech Career Development Program, which has officially launched. Dr. Pearse Lyons, president and founder of global agribusiness and bioscience company Alltech, is proud to announce ten new positions for applicants. The deadline for applications is Dec. 2, with training and placements commencing in early February 2014.

The graduates will have the opportunity to work with some of the world’s top specialists in the fields of science, aquaculture, marketing, veterinary science, information technology, business and biotechnology. The program is an integral part of the company’s overall growth strategy, fuelling the pipeline of executives who will further the direction of Alltech’s business.

The 12-month, salaried, mentorship program will begin with an intensive training period at Alltech’s Global Headquarters in Lexington, Ky., where graduates will study topics including sustainable energy, communications, marketing and international business. Following this they will continue training and development, while simultaneously managing key company projects in one of the company’s 128 areas of business around the world.

“As an entrepreneur I come up with new ideas for my business daily. As Alltech continues to grow towards a $4 billion company, I need the right people in my organization to implement and add value to these ideas,” said Alltech president and founder Dr. Pearse Lyons. “I am personally committed to this program which will help young graduates at a time when economic and employment opportunities are diminished. This program will give the best, brightest and most driven graduates the chance to learn, lead, innovate and flourish.”

“We believe the graduates recruited today will make the strategic decisions of tomorrow,” said program leader Dr. Aoife Lyons. “Our approach is not just about imparting knowledge, it is about experiential learning. The Alltech Career Development Program provides graduates a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable business skills in an environment where they can take ownership of developing solutions for emerging issues in global agriculture, food and consumer health.”
