March 30, 2016 – The Aviagen Best Practice series of customer literature continues to expand since its release in August 2015. The series, available for the Arbor Acres, Indian River and Ross brands, now covers breeder, broiler and hatchery topics.

The series is designed, first and foremost, to communicate best practice management strategies in a user-friendly way that can be easily implemented on the farm or in the hatchery.

Best Practice in the Breeder House includes advice on the Prevention of Floor Eggs as well as guidance on Transfer during Rear and Move. Best Practice in the Broiler House so far focuses on Biosecurity whilst the Hatchery topic looks at best practice for Transfer of Eggs.

Commenting on the Best Practice series, Dr Emma Whittemore, Global Technical Transfer Manager, Aviagen, said: “The series has been created to provide customers with information and guidance on best practice in various aspects of breeder, broiler and hatchery management. It has proved very popular and we are already planning the next topics.”

“Feedback from the field highlights the need for more and more practical ‘on farm’ tools.  This series forms part of Aviagen’s ongoing commitment to producing literature that offers user-friendly and accessible advice for our customers.”
