Aviagen North America Pledges Support for Auburn University’s Poultry Research and Education Center

Company committed to educating and encouraging future poultry leaders.

The Miller Poultry Research and Education Center is located on a 30-acre site in North Auburn.

Aviagen North America recently pledged financial support for the Auburn University Charles C. Miller Jr. Poultry Research and Education Center.

The amount will be contributed in equal yearly installments spread over five years.

Both Aviagen and Auburn representatives agree that the work done at the Miller Poultry Research and Education Center is important to the future of our industry, as well as to our ability to help create a better future for the world.

Their research and innovation are vital to the sustainability of our industry, and we share the Center’s mission to drive improvement that continually advances the industry and our ability to feed our ever-growing local and global communities with an affordable, nutritious source of protein,” says Marc de Beer, president of Aviagen North America.

Dr. William Dozier, Head of Auburn University’s Department of Poultry Science, adds, “We appreciate Aviagen’s support and the company’s commitment to research and educating our future poultry industry leaders. Aviagen’s contribution will help our department pursue research that addresses pressing industry needs and improve the final product that consumers bring into their homes. At Auburn, our goal is to help prepare our students to learn in an environment where production meets education. What they learn during their time with us will ensure that their work impacts lives around the globe.”
