The first case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in more than two months has been confirmed in the Canadian province of Alberta.
According to information on the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) website, the latest case was confirmed on July 28 in Stettler County.
Information concerning the type of birds involved or the size of the affected flock has not yet been disclosed to the public by the CFIA.
