October 23, 2015 – It’s not every day that B.C. chicken farmers get to share the stage with the BCAMA elite (B.C. Chapter of the American Marketing Association) – but that day has finally come. The BC Chicken SquadTM and CREW Marketing Partners were named as finalists for the 2015 BCAMA Marketing Excellence Awards, which took place at the Westin Bayshore Hotel Wednesday night.

The Chicken SquadTM  campaign was built to revolve around a parody action movie featuring real BC chicken farmers as the talent. All the creative took on the look and feel of promotions for an upcoming movie release.

“We are honoured to have been selected as BCAMA Award Finalist, and congratulate the winners” said Ms. Cheryl Davie, Manager of Strategic Initiatives at the B.C. Chicken Marketing Board.  “But we would never have made it to this caliber without the team at Crew Marketing Partners, who so effectively engaged audiences through an action packed, hair-raising story.”

To celebrate the BCAMA’s 60th anniversary, three new recognition awards were added to the line-up, including the public relations and experiential marketing campaign categories which the B.C. Chicken Marketing Board was nominated for.

Funding support for this project was provided, in part, by the BC Government’s Buy Local Program; delivered by the Investment Agriculture Foundation of BC with funding from the BC Ministry of Agriculture.
