Chefs Plate celebrated Thanksgiving 2018 with the official announcement of an ongoing national partnership with Turkey Farmers of Canada that will see Canada’s number one meal kit company exclusively use Canadian turkey year-round. In addition, Chefs Plate will donate a meal to its charitable partner, Second Harvest, for every order placed at www.chefsplate.com that will deliver between September 30th – October 13th.

The Chefs Plate and Turkey Farmers of Canada partnership supports hundreds of turkey producers across the country like family run farm, Rossdown Farms & Natural Foods. It also underscores Canadian-owned and operated supplier, Chefs Plate’s commitment to responsible farming, premium quality ingredients and prioritizing a Canada first supply chain, rich with the country’s best farmers and artisanal suppliers.

“Chefs Plate delivers hundreds of thousands of meal kits across the country so this partnership has a measurable impact on our industry,” said Janice Height, director of corporate services at Turkey Farmers of Canada. “The partnership also represents an exciting new frontier for us to educate new consumers about the quality and integrity of our delicious product on a mass scale that goes well beyond the traditional grocery aisle.”

For example, for delivery the week of October 7th – 13th, Spiced Turkey & Pear Chutney, Spiced Turkey & Roasted Red Pepper Fajitas, and Turkey Penne & Rose Sauce are on the menu. Meal kits arrive with all of the pre-portioned ingredients and step-by-step recipe instructions required to prepare a meal in 15 or 30 minutes or less.

The partnership ensures that each meal kit including turkey is clearly labeled Canadian Raised Turkey. It is also supported on Chefs Plates social channels and through email marketing and content creation designed to profile Canadian turkey farmers.
