Clark Companies Form Global Partnership

The Clark Companies of Canada and Farmer Automatic of Germany have
formed a global partnership, creating Farmer Automatic GmbH & Co.
KG.

May 14, 2010 – The Clark Companies of Canada and Farmer Automatic of Germany have formed a global partnership, creating Farmer Automatic GmbH & Co. KG. The partnership gives the Clark Companies a 50 per cent ownership in Farmer Automatic. The remaining 50 per cent of Farmer Automatic will be held by the company’s founding family, the Kühlmann’s.

Farmer Automatic will continue to be a German company with production and company headquarters in Laer, Westphalia. The Clark Companies began their relationship with Farmer Automatic many years ago, first selling Farmer Automatic products and then purchasing Farmer Automatic Canada, becoming the exclusive Canadian distributor.

In 2009, W. Murray Clark Limited and Farmer Automatic Canada Inc. were combined into one national distribution company named Clark Ag Systems Ltd.

Farmer Automatic GmbH & Co. KG will be led by Peter Vergossen as the principal Managing Director and Franz-Josef Kühlmann. The partnership combines German engineering excellence with North American marketing and sales expertise that will allow the companies to expand product portfolios and access new markets.
