Small, non-commercial chicken flock tests positive.

LOCATION: Kawartha Lakes, Ont.

DETAILS: The Feather Board Command Centre (FBCC) has been alerted by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) that a small, non-commercial chicken flock in the City of Kawartha lakes tested positive for infectious laryngotracheitis (ILT). All the birds have died or been euthanized. Based on this news, FBCC issued an ILT Biosecurity Advisory to all commercial poultry farmers and small flock growers in central-western portion of the City of Kawartha Lakes.
