April 6, 2015 – The USDA has confirmed that H5N2 has been found in a flock of 71,000 turkeys in Stearns County, Minnesota, one of the highest turkey-producing counties in the state. That brings the number of Minnesota turkey farms affected by H5N2 to five. A commercial turkey flock has also tested positive for H5N2 in South Dakota, bringing the total number of outbreaks in the Midwest to 10 farms since early March. The Daily Journal reports.
