June 15, 2012, Edmonton, AB – After 24 years of services with the Alberta Turkey Producers, Gregory R. Smith has left his role of Executive Director.

“I am proud to have served the Board for the last 24 years; I have had the opportunity to watch and participate as the Alberta turkey industry has evolved, we as a Board continually worked at and improved marketing and allocation systems to better serve the producers and processors” says Greg Smith.

“My reasons for leaving mirror those of my predecessor Don Potter, he too, felt that he had done about as much as he could for the Alberta Turkey Producers, and now must concede it is time for change.”
