New Pfizer Poultry Health Unveiled
A new Pfizer Animal Health was unveiled Oct. 16, 2009 as Pfizer's
acquisition of Wyeth, was completed.

the discovery, development, manufacture and sales of veterinary vaccines
and medicines for livestock and companion animals.

However, the company revealed two weeks later many of the companion
animal and cattle products from Wyeth subsidiary Fort Dodge Animal
Health had been acquired by Boehringer Ingelheim in a separate deal.

Pfizer is already the world leader of in ovo technology, and the company says it will strengthen its position in the poultry industry with the
addition of a broad range of poultry vaccines including POULVAC and
MATERNAVAC IBD-Reo, a leading broiler-breeder vaccine
