Newcastle disease – Cyprus

DETAILS: Information received from Dr. Christodoulos Pipis, acting director, Veterinary Services, Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Nicosia, Cyprus, noted the outbreak of a listed disease.

Newcastle disease was confirmed in backyard poultry birds: 10 laying and 20 broiler chickens of around three weeks of age. The outbreak status is listed as resolved.
