B.C. poultry industry gets funding to help with avian influenza

Two funding initiatives worth up to $1.58 million have been provided to help B.C. poultry producers re-establish their operations and mitigate the impact of future risks following an outbreak of notifiable avian influenza in the Fraser Valley this past winter. H5N2 avian influenza still spreading in Midwest

H5N2 avian influenza continues to spread in the northern U.S. with new cases being reported daily. The total number of detections as of May 14 is 162 with 33,521,073 birds affected.
