
North America’s two newest HPAI cases in Canada

News Disease watchNew cases are confirmed in commercial poultry flocks in British Columbia and Quebec.
Two new cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in commercial poultry flocks have been reported by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
The first of those two cases was confirmed on October 20 in Langley Township, British Columbia, while the second was confirmed on October 22 in L’Érable, Quebec. Information concerning the flock type or size for both cases has not yet been disclosed.
