February 15, 2011 – Max Kaiser, an
egg producer from Napanee has taken over as the President of the Ontario
Soil and Crop Improvement Association (OSCIA) for 2011.
Max and his wife Jessica are in transition to succeed Eric, Max's father, on the 900+ acre farm. Farming corn, soybeans and what in a three-year rotation generates feed for the layer/pullet operation. Managing the manure with sensitivity for non-farming neighbours is always a challenge, but Max believes communication with the community helps a great deal.
