Poultry Industry Council announces new directors

At its October 22, 2020, annual general meeting, Poultry Industry Council elected two new members and one returning member to its board of directors.

Ed Verkley serves as the chair of the board and was pleased to announce the following new individuals to join the board: Cathy Lennon, General Manager of Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) and Dr. Kayla Price, Poultry Technical Manager for Alltech.

Returning board member Dr. Babek Sanei, National Business and Technical Manager for Zoetis was also re-elected to serve for another term. Greg Lansink, Turkey Farmers of Ontario was elected in to fill the vacant Vice Chair position, and Cathy Lennon, OFA now serves in the Treasurer position.

“We are excited to welcome these two new members and one returning member to our board table. They each bring new perspectives and a deep background in supporting agriculture and the poultry sector,” said Ed Verkely, chair.

“This past year has been challenging for PIC, as it has been for many businesses, and we rely on the collective knowledge and experience of our Board of Directors to work as a team and continue to deliver on our mandate.”
