New EVP for Marel Poultry
Anton de Weerd to step down in September.
On September 1, 2019, Anton de Weerd will step down as Marel Poultry’s executive vice president (EVP).
After the upcoming transition period, Roger Claessens, currently director of innovation, will take over the EVP role.
De Weerd, 61, has been with Marel for 37 years and will take on a new role within the company after steping down.
Claessens has been with Marel for 18 years, serving in management roles where he demonstrated strong leadership.
In his role as director of innovation over the past five years, he has successfully headed up Marel's innovations for the poultry industry.
Claessens is 43 years old and lives in Malden, the Netherlands. He graduated in Agricultural Engineering (MSc) at the WUR in Wageningen.
