Strike at Exceldor poultry factory comes to an end

The strike at the Exceldor poultry factory in St-Anselme has come to an end after a month-long work stoppage.

Union members at the factory voted 66 per cent in favour of accepting the settlement organized by mediators from the Ministry of Labour, the United Food and Commercial Workers (​UFCW) union announced.

The workers had been on strike since May 23, leading to more than one million chickens being euthanized.
