Wheat Board Vote Passes; Ritz Backs Supply Management

November 29, 2011 – As the bill to give Canadian grain farmers marketing freedom from the Canadian Wheat Board cleared the final stage of approval in the House of Commons yesterday, Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz dismissed arguments from a
number of economic think-tanks saying Canada would be better off without
the quota system.
