No Quota Buyout for Tobacco Farmers

April 2, 2008, Brantford, Ont. – There'll be no buyout for Ontario's struggling tobacco farmers, the federal agriculture minister says. "We're working hard to help tobacco farmers access existing
(aid) programs, but no new exit programs will be available," Gerry Ritz
said in a written statement Tuesday.
