Avian influenza strikes another Quebec poultry flock

A new case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in a commercial poultry flock in Quebec has been discovered.

The latest case was confirmed on April 13 in the Les Maskoutains Regional County Municipality, according to a report from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

The agency did not disclose the type of flock that was involved, nor did it state how many birds were in the flock.
