Experienced poultry professional Rickey Smith announces retirement, paving way for new leadership.

Long-time CWT Farms president Rickey Smith will be retiring in July of this year.

In a recent press release, CWT Farms International, Inc. revealed that its long-serving President, Rickey Smith, will be stepping down from his role in July of this year. Smith, who joined the company in 2015, played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and expansion during his tenure.

Since joining CWT Farms International, Smith has spearheaded the modernization of the company’s feed mill, bringing it up to contemporary standards. Under his leadership, the company successfully expanded its operations into Kentucky and New York, marking significant milestones in its development.

Christopher Hill, the CEO of CWT Farms International, expressed gratitude for Smith’s contributions, stating, “We extend our profound appreciation to Rickey for his steadfast dedication and exceptional leadership, which have been instrumental in fostering our growth and success here at CWT.”


Hill acknowledged Smith’s extensive knowledge of the poultry industry as a driving force behind the company’s expansion. “His extensive knowledge of the poultry industry has helped guide our expansion, and his experience has been a great asset to our CWT management team,” added Hill. “We all wish Rickey the very best in his retirement. He will be sorely missed.”

With over 40 years of experience in the poultry industry, Smith’s expertise covers various aspects, including working with different breeders, managing production cycles, addressing biosecurity challenges, ensuring compliance with vaccine requirements, and maintaining overall bird health. Additionally, Smith brings a wealth of experience in financial analysis for all facets of the industry.
