
House Ag committee to hear from poultry, egg industries

The House of Commons agriculture committee agreed last night to host additional meetings to hear from the poultry and egg sectors, following a motion from Conservative MP John Barlow.
At Wednesday night’s committee meeting, the Tory agriculture critic said that while the government has committed $1.75 billion over eight years to dairy farmers, it has yet to make announcements for poultry and egg producers.
Poultry and egg industry stakeholders will now be invited to testify.
