Jared de Dood is a third-generation farmer in Grindrod, near Salmon Arm. He produces around 3,100 organic eggs each day on his farm, Okanagan Riverbend Poultry. He loves what he gets to do each day — help put fresh, wholesome and locally produced food on the plates of British Columbians.
“You go to the store and you’re like, hey, this might be an egg that I touched and packed with my own hands. It might have been from a hen I was holding the other day,” he says.
