Producers donate 1,000 kg of chicken to Niagara area food banks

Ontario chicken farmers recently participated in three CFO Cares: Farmers to Food Banks events.

Jim Diodati, mayor of Niagara Falls, joined local chicken farmers to celebrate the donation of 350 kg of chicken for Project SHARE.

Ontario chicken farmers recently participated in three CFO Cares: Farmers to Food Banks events across the Niagara area to celebrate a total donation of over 1,000 kg of chicken to Project SHARE (Niagara Falls), Community Cares (St. Catharines), and Pelham Cares (Pelham).

Jim Diodati, mayor of Niagara Falls, joined local chicken farmers to celebrate the donation of 350 kg of chicken for Project SHARE.

Meanwhile, Jennie Stevens, MPP for St. Catharines, and Mark Stevens, a St. Catharines city councillor, joined local chicken farmers to celebrate the donation of 350 kg of chicken for Community Care.

And Sam Oosterhoff, MPP for Niagara West, and Diana Huson, Niagara regional councillor for Pelham, joined local chicken farmers to celebrate the donation of 350 kg of chicken for Pelham Cares.

These separate donations of chicken were made by the Chicken Farmers of Ontario (CFO), through the CFO Cares: Farmers to Food Banks program, which enables chicken farmers to donate their chicken to food banks across Ontario.

The CFO Cares: Farmers to Food Banks program, works in partnership with Feed Ontario, contributes over one million meals a year to local food banks.
