The initial occurrence of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in a commercial poultry flock in Alberta for the year 2024 was reported by Canadian authorities.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) confirmed the virus’s presence in a commercial flock located in Mountain View County, Alberta, on February 19.
